Yiannis Laouris was the key founder of the organization and serves as Chair of the Board. He is currently the head of the New Media Lab and the Neuroscience Lab.

The Multimedia Factory was founded by Laouris, George Vakanas, the Cyprus Neuroscience and Technology Institute and [MISnTED Ltd.]] in 1993 as a software producing company.
Ekkotek
Ekkotek-High-tech business incubator was founded by Laouris and [MISnTED Ltd.]] in 1999 following the successful outcome of their application to the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism to set up one of the first four business incubators in Cyprus.

Yiannis authored Masks of Demons, a book that exposes stereotypes between so-called "'lifelong"' enemies.
