The 6th International Facilitators Training School for the Structured Dialogic Design (SDD) Process will take place in Nicosia, Cyprus between the 31st of October and the 9th of November 2017 (dates include related activities). It will be organized by Future Worlds Center.


Focus of the School

  • Learn more about the theory and practice of SDDP
  • Good practices at:
    • Analyzing educational needs, developing new solutions and testing them;
    • Networking, especially inter-sectoral networking (NGOs – public sector – business sector);
    • Developing and professionalization of an NGO;
    • International cooperation;
    • Methods for life-long-learning, education of adults.

Preliminary Program

The School will take advantage of formal and non-formal workshop techniques and will include sessions covering the following:

  • A 16hr session spread over multiple days will be exclusively devoted to the implementation of a complete SDDP session so that participants acquire hands on experience and training.
  • The equivalent of a full day will also be spread over multiple days and will focus on how to use technologies and relevant software solutions in an immersive way making them invisible and non-intrucive to the participants.
  • 2-3 days of self study and structured interactions between participants
  • The equivalent of one day spread on Good practices
  • two sessions (combination of lecture and interactive workshop); one on the history and one on the future of SDDP

Logistics

The 6th International Facilitators Training School is being organized by Mr. Ivi Solomou, under the guidance of Yiannis Laouris and Marios Michaelides. The School will take place at the premises of the Cyprus Community Media Centre, which is in the Buffer Zone. This will enable local participants from both sides of the buffer zone to participate as well as visiting participants to visit both parts of the island.

The Participation Fee is €1,000.00.

Future Worlds Center Associates, CSAP students and/or graduate enjoy a special discount, i.e., Participation Fee is €350.00.


The fee includes:

  • Registration fees and certificate
  • All coffee and snacks (lunches and/or dinners not included)
  • All reading materials on CD
  • Access to the Members’ pages of the SDD International School Website (for full access to all materials)
  • Fully working version of Cogniscope Classic v3 software for personal use
  • Gala Dinner

Credits earned:

In accordance with the SDD Credit Point System participants will earn 3 credit points, which can be used towards achieving the Candidate SDD co-Facilitator or accumulate them towards the requirements of achieving the Certified SDD Facilitator status.
